ABOUT THE LESSON PLANS:

A1+ | 60 min | Listening / Speaking / Reading
This lesson, on Google slides, contains the story of American aviator Amelia Earhart. The speaking tasks are based on the trailer of her movie, which Ss are asked to describe. Although it is not a grammar-based lesson, the students are required to use simple present, present continuous and/or past continuous. There is also a task showing adjectives to describe personality and a reading task that includes verb to be in the past forms.

A2 | 45-60 min | Speaking / Reading
This lesson, on Google slides, contains the story of Brazilian psychiatrist Nise da Silveira. The speaking tasks are based on the trailer of her movie and are integrated with the reading task, which contains a True or False game. For this lesson, students are required to use simple present, simple past and are exposed to a variety of words, including some related to mental disorders.

A2+ | 45-60 min | Listening / Speaking / Reading
This lesson, on Google slides, contains the story of English astronomer Caroline Herschel. There's a listening task about her story and students are invited to read about the attractions of a real museum, on which the speaking task is based. Students are required to use simple present, present continuous, past continuous and/or second conditionals. There are further readings that can be assigned as homework.

This lesson, on Google slides, contains the story of American writer, Maya Angelou. The speaking tasks are integrated with the reading ones, and focus mostly on simple past. The listening is based on a video about her story and contains comprehension tasks, through gap-filling, questions and error corrections. There are further readings that can be assigned as homework.

A2/B1 | 60 min | Speaking / Reading / Listening
This lesson, on Google slides, contains the story of American activist Rosa Parks. There's a speaking task about her story which is integrated with the grammar focus on simple past. One of the slides contains a more challenging reading task, including B1 vocabulary. The listening is a part of a lecture of her own and is also quite challenging. There are further readings that can be assigned as homework.

This lesson is based on a Google Doodles honour to Maya Angelou which contains a recording of her poem Still I rise. The reading focuses on the poem as well. The speaking focuses on quick facts about her life. It includes further readings about her.
